pumpkin

I am done with chemistry courses for the rest of the semester!! It is a fantastic feeling. My exam was on Saturday. I think it was okay...there were definitely some things I wasn't sure about, but I think overall it went okay. This is a pass/fail class (all the classes here are pass/fail) so...I think I passed? It only took me three hours to complete the final. I thought for sure I forgot a problem or something, but I went through it at least four times making sure I didn't miss anything.

Now I have a whole week off before my next course starts. I'm still not sure if I want to take Media Analysis or Development Economics, but I am just going to enroll in both and see which I like most. Until then I am going to focus on Swedish class and making plans for travel! So far on the list I have: Oslo/Bergen, Norway- Nov 6-9, Coppenhagen, Denmark-Nov 27-29, and then Northern Sweden (to hopefully see the Northern Lights) December 4th-7th...then back to Cali for Christmas!

Today me and Claire carved pumpkins. I didn't even carve a pumpkin last year. It's something about being away from your country that makes you really patriotic! I want to celebrate everything the way we do at home! Here's my pumpkin, I need to think of a good Swedish name for it.
I was trying to make the same face as it. Turns out my teeth aren't pointy enough.

We also made pumpkin seeds. Soooo good.

annnd thats that for now

  1. Your expression is scarier than the pumpkin's. :)

  2. I LOVE your pumpkin. I like how it is so scary but also has pretty eyelashes.

It snowed here in the valley yesterday and our entire back yard is covered in a layer of yellow leaveas and then a thin layer of snow. Even though I'm dreading the real winter (with the three feet dumps of snow), I am liking the fall. Everytime I am outside I want to carve pumpkins and jummp into piles of leaves and everything.

    Yay!
