Getting something accomplished here is near impossible. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong. I've a had million meetings with people trying to get started with research, but nothing. I'm still doing research on lactone ring opening polymerization and tin octanoate catalyzed reactions, but other than that it has been so difficult to actually get in a lab and do something!
At Poly when I went to talk to my professor about doing research, I was in the lab two days after that. BAH!
Oh well...now it's easter break for the next two weeks and I'm going to RUSSIA! I can't wait, it's about time I go on a trip. I will be going to St Petersberg and Moscow (and stop by in Helsinki on our way there) for 9 days. Woo hoo! And then just two weeks after that I'm going to Rome to visit my friend :D I love my new polymers schedule.
Today the sun was completely up at 6:30am! I can't wait for summmmerrrr (its still about 30-35 degrees).

Wow I'm a terrible Blogger
So I have not updated this thing in a very long time...sorry about that to my avid readers (mom). I think its a combination of a hard course and just being used to Sweden...so all the little things that used to happen (like snow) aren't as exciting to me anymore.
HOWEVER, my Biochemistry course from hell is over and I know I at least passed the final so now I can relax and just focus on polymers and my polymer research. I don't think this class will be too much work and even if it is I'm really excited about it (I actually WANT to learn about it!). And then coupled with Research I'm super excited.
It's also a lot more flexible with dates...a lot more time off. We have two weeks off for a little spring break, and I'm going on a road trip from Helsinki to St. Petersburg and then Moscow. It's only one week away and I REALLY can't wait!
The weather here is getting better and better by the day (except for a random snow storm we had on Sunday...it snowed quite a lot too...just as we were really clearing the roads of all the snow...LAME). The sun even woke me up today at 7:30am! It's was all the way up at 7! Bah so crazy! I'm soooo excited for May and June when there's not much night time. Woo hoo!
